Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated July 1868, to a gentleman, recommending his friend the pianist and composer Jules Meilhan "... He is a friend of mine and, as you will see, a quite remarkable artist...". Size is 5.2 x 8.1 inches, 1 page, overall rust tone, light smudge over ink, in overall excellent condition.
